Installation guide

Koyo N-Flo Radiator Mounts & Condenser Spacers

Installation instructions for the TWB radiator mounts and condenser spacers. These will allow for more space between components in the engine bay such as the SMIC and intake boxes.

Step 01

Before You Begin

This Guide is not a full from start to finish guide. The radiator must be removed from the car first, then follow this guide. Please refer to the Koyo N-Flo radiator video for removal instructions. Each mount is held on by a single M6 bolt with a 10mm head. You can re-use the factory bolt. A 10mm wrench or socket is needed for this.

Step 02

Install Radiator Mounts

Due to these mounts lowering the radiator further than usual, you will need to do a couple things different from the standard Koyo N-Flo installation.

Transfer the lower isolators/locators from the old radiator or install new ones if you bought them. They slide on and off the radiator pegs.

Lower Radiator Mounts that need to be bent or cut on the existing bend. These need to be bent with the standard Koyo N-Flo install but bent even further with the TBW mounts because the radiator mounts that much lower.

The front air guide needs to be trimmed to allow the radiator top tank to lay next to it. With the standard mounting and the factory radiator, the upper radiator tank sits above this guide.

Position the radiator mounts on the radiator just as the factory mounts were istalled. You want the part of the mount that has the open slot protruding towards the engine bay.

Leave the factory rubber isolator on the body of the car, the mount will install on top of the isolator just like the factory mounts.

Step 03

Install Condenser Spacers

The kit comes with one long stainless steel bolt, two shorter stainless steel bolts, one large spacer, two smaller spacers and three stainless steel washers. The large spacer goes with the longest bolt, the two smaller spacers go with the shorter bolts. The two smaller spacers go on the rear of the condenser closest to the engine. The large spacer goes on the front of the condenser closest to the nose of the car under where the battery tray would be.

There is no need to remove the condenser. All you need to do is remove the bolts from the 3 locations mentioned in the images below. Do them one at a time so you can use the tension to hold the new spacer in place rather than trying to hold up a loose condensor and fight dropping the hardware. Only 3 spacers are needed because the one Condenser bracket already gets flipped to lower the condenser. The other 3 mounts lower the rest of the condenser for even spacing.

Step 04

Final Checks

Make sure everything is tight and all hoses are connected, then bleed the coolant like you typically would.

Step 05

Why do we need the condenser spacers?

When you flip the condenser bracket on the one corner, it creates enough space between the condenser and the radiator. But what about the other 3 corners? You can see here just how close the condenser is to the radiator. The spacers are needed to lower the other 3 corners of the condenser to create even spacing between the two components.
